BRICK SCULPTURES
The Art of Brick Sculpture Sculpting in brick is over 3,000 years old. First practiced in the walled cities of ancient Mesopotamia, the process begins with the carving of intricate designs into stacked blocks of wet clay. After the clay is fired, the finished brick is carefully reassembled into its original order, special care being taken to delicately blend the thin mortar lines into the finished relief. Click here.
